Sedation made my dental work fast and anxiety free!

Our Personalized Comfort Solutions

We provide many personalized solutions to ensure our patients’ safety and comfort. Perhaps the most advantageous is IV sedation. As the highest form of conscious sedation, IV sedation can provide the maximum level of anxiety and pain control. This can help even the most phobic patients have comfortable experiences at our Glen Ellyn, IL office and get the dental work they need.

Appointments with us also include:

  • Caring, supportive, and understanding staff that does not scold or embarrass you.
  • Stereo headphones to reduce noise and distraction with music that you love.
  • Digital panoramic x-ray and sensors (inside the mouth) to reduce or eliminate gagging.
  • The Wand® electronic, microprocessor-controlled device to deliver syringeless anesthetic.

Our Sedation Options

Nitrous Oxide

  • Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) helps many patients feel they are “somewhere else.” Administered comfortably through a nosepiece, patients can enjoy feeling calm and relaxed during their procedure, with little aftereffects once the nosepiece is removed.

Oral Sedation

  • Oral sedation works wonders with many patients. It is taken in pill form and has caused many people to snore through their visit and remember almost nothing! Oral sedation is appropriate for patients with pronounced dental fear, extreme gagging, embarrassment concerns, or desire to have their dental treatments done in the minimal number of visits.

IV Sedation

  • Both certified in IV sedation, Drs. Thomas and Jessica Gibbs are two of the fewer than 2% of general dentists in the state of Illinois to be able to “put people to sleep” using IV sedation. Administered through an IV catheter, IV sedation can be adjusted to the needs of the individual patient, helping even “difficult to numb” patients find comfort.
